i am just curious on this and in my opinion it doesn't matter because of all the issuses be screwed up now. are you voting for Obama, Hilary, or Mcain. IMHO voting for mcain is another 4 years of bush and voting for hilary is another way of saying "tell us what we think", . of the 3 evils i follow the least of the 3. There is no hope for our next president as the past 8 years have been screwed over and totally feeding the rich, i like obama.

Sorry, but after all that has gone on in this world in the past 8yrs there is no way I want a Muslim for the Pres. of my country. I don't care what the man says, He's a Muslim. His father was a diehard Muslim, his stepfather was even worse, but also Muslim, and his mother was an athiest. Nope, sorry, no Muslim as Pres. of the USA. I hate to even think about it.

I'm with Bandit, No way do I wanna see him in office. I don't trust him a bit, and those Muslims that hate us have been way to quite. Then his wife's slip up? Nope, no way, don't like. Another Clinton? Helllll no! Nope, no way, neava. I don't view McCain as another Bush, their ties and friends are all to different. Remember McCain use to be a lib, and in some ways still is. Either way you look at it, none of the three should be there. Either way, you think we are in bad shape now? Just wait, we are doomed. So screwed. I fink I scawerd. I was hoping Rudy woulda hung in there, But I think he knew this country is doomed and wanted to save is name the way it is and not have it involved with the collapse of America.....

so you want another 4 years of bush(mcain) or you want a woman who has no clue at whats going on and she's too busy attacking eveybody than running for president and she has health care issues that will put you in jail if you have no health insurance. go figure.

it's pretty sad when the only weakness people can find with this man is his religion. so what he is a muslim. if you read the holy quran and stop going by what everybody else says it is a peaceful religion and praises peace. it's the extremistes that have given it a bad name. muslims praise life not death. not being religous at all myself so i consider myself an independant in voting. damn they all suck but bottom line he is the less of all the evils. shot what could be worse, what if i ran for president ? people woul;d say i was an atheist since i run the internet name of what i do and i guard the gates to hell. either we are fubared for another 4 years no matter what. i hear austrailia is nice this time of year.

True but it's not a popularity contest anymore. It's a qualification contest. And all this he said, she said and did bull crap doesn't fly. Don't and with his background and rising through the wood works as fast as he did don't baffle you any? But every one moans about taxes, those 2 both have great ideas to improve this country, but their ideas mean higher taxes. To where as McLumpy claims he'll cut taxes and cut the silly gov't spending.

it's all about about making the rich richer and us poe folk even poorer than we already are. all this blue collar white collar dirty collar(me) seperation is crap but unfortunitly money talks and can buy anything. they all have their price and are taking some some serious payoffs.

Cerb I agree 100% ( the seperation of classes).. Butyou know what, it's to late to change that, it's been happening for years, before you and I were born.

So where are these pay off's coming from? The same people they came from 20, 30 40 years ago? Nooo, Where did the Bush's get theirs from? Those people I dont think would even try to get to McLumpy. Or even the attack artist II, clinton.

Wait Wait Wait...
it's pretty sad when the only weakness people can find with this man is his religion.
That's the only weakness you think he has? Heh... Hardly. He's one of the most liberal Senators who ever lived, even left of Hillary. He, like Hillary, wants a socialist type government. He wants "free" healthcare... Problem? Yeah... We still pay for it down to the last red cent. There's no such thing as "free" in America anymore. It's merely a question of who actually makes the payment.

He wants to ban guns! That's a Constitutional RIGHT and he wants to simply ban them...

He says pulling all troops from Iraq and "ending" the war is the right answer and he's been in favor of NOT defending America all his political life. The real issue there... We, as a country, elected Democrats in 2006 specifically to end the war... Maybe it's just me, but it would appear... We're still there.

He has fewer than 4yrs experience in a major office and has(like Hillary) never run anything requiring real management on his part.

He's only been an officeholder at all since 1997, meaning he has the least experience of all at the actual issues, regardless the fact everyone involved regularly screws it all up. He knows even less than they on the matters at hand. Well, Hillary has less overall time in office, but she did get info from a former governer and President of the USA, her husband.

He's apparently a strong believer in global warming too. I can't stand that. Last yr(or 06), not one, but 2 global warmining meetings were cancelled due to inclement weather. It was too cold! How can you believe in global warming when there's ridiculously little real evidence to support it? Yet people do. I'm in FL right now... I live here. It's in the 50's. Global warming? I think not. Usually it's 70+ this time of yr.

Last yr, he was rated "the most liberal Senator" by the National Journal(a right wing paper). It had done 26 annual ratings before. I don't want a liberal in charge of anything, let alone the highest/strongest political office in the world.

The Americans for Democratic Action(ADA) used 60 votes to measure the liberalism of a legislator... Obama voted "non-liberal" only 1 time of those 60.

so what he is a muslim.
Many here are making this argument, most "against" instead of for. He's definitely NOT a Muslim! Not even close, although his name would suggest otherwise. Even though he also supports the likes of Louis Farrahkan<sp>. He's a Christian, but not a very strong one in the least.

Obama has shown through his support and actions, he's an elitist, yet very much pro black. He endorses things like the NAACP and his former pastor. He's got an excellent education, as does his wife. Both, however, talk down to others as if that education literally makes them better.

He wants to raise taxes... That isn't simply to say he wants to eliminate tax cuts which have proven to work to help our economy, but he wants to actually raise them for everyone who pays, including the hardest workers(mostly middle-class).

And you think his religion is the only drawback? Either you support those half-baked ideals as well, or you haven't done your homework.

if you read the holy quran and stop going by what everybody else says it is a peaceful religion and praises peace.
While this is certainly true, it's the extremists who run the religion for the most part. We cannot afford to mistakenly forget that fact.

either we are fubared for another 4 years no matter what. i hear austrailia is nice this time of year.
I like some other countries... This one, however, is my home and I won't live elsewhere by choice. I see the concern like most of us, but it's up to us to make the changes, not our Congress.

I won't vote for Hillary because... Well, she's Hillary and is as out of reality as Obama on the same side.

In the next election, I will likely cast my vote for McCain. A reason above others... He's not as liberal as the Democrats and doesn't want to give my hard earned money to those who essentially don't deserve a dime of it to begin with.

For those who think it will merely be another 4yrs of Bush if McCain is elected... I cannot agree. He's very different from all indications. He supports the tax cuts he once voted against... Because he has seen them work and he has heard his states' voters tell him what they want him to support. He's changed positions on the border situation. He again listened to those who elected him, which caused that change of heart.

He supports finishing the job in Iraq, and wherever else it needs to be done. He won't run from the war and Democrats want to run away, as they have since the 1970's.

Aside from those issues, he has a large contrast from Bush in areas as well. He also supports concerns over global warming. Bush has little concern there in reality, and I appluad the fact. McCain though, unlike Democrats, supports nuclear power strongly. Also, unlike Democrats, McCain wants other nations to shoulder the burden as we do, not fall back like China(for example) does currently. He supports drilling for oil in America as well. At this time, we need our oil.

He doesn't support border security as strongly as he should, but wants to do something more than Bush, or Democrats at large. He does support the 2nd Ammendment, which could help in regard to our borders, and probably will at some point.

One thing he isn't, imho... a conservative. He's fiscally conservative, but otherwise, not so much.

He does believe that families should be in charge of their healthcare, not the Congress and not the healthcare provider and not the insurance companies. He also believes in slowing the cost increases of medical treatment by preventing frivilous lawsuits, something Bush has actually pushed for, but Democrats are against.

Perhaps most importantly to me personally, John McCain doesn't believe that you or I should become more dependent upon our government. This is one major reason I do not support either Obama or Clinton. Each would have us under their respective thumb for the rest of our lives, expecting our government to make the right choices for us, which they have proven for 40yrs already, they are incapable of doing.

There is even more, but anyone can look up the respective candidates to see where they stand on various issues. I hope more people do exactly that. GET AND STAY INVOLVED! Even a little bit(like me) can help.

I will put my bid on McCain. I don't want another Clinton in office, and i sure as hell don't want a bigot like Obama running the country. he doesn't like white people, he is not real close to what he says he believes in and he is against guns...BAD COMBO for a person who is aspiring to run the country.

But on a side note I really am not worried about him or her getting in office because they simply can not unless the powers that be 100% ignore out written laws. it clearly states that only a free born white male of the age requirement can become president of the united states of america. which clearly they both are not.

So unless another democratic candidate or independent shows up your president of the usa is going to be John McCain, unless they just completely ignore our written laws or rewrite the constitution to elect either one of them.

Kudo's Rob, Although I agree with 95% of what you have said I do disagree with 5%. I wish I had the time to respond now. But I don't yet, but I will. You replied to Cerb with respect and knowledge and I respect that. and I'm sure he will too. Thats rare when we talk Politics.

Now GATER.. WTF, Your first sentence was fine, but the rest? He doesn't like white people?
Of course he's against guns, read any of my past post's..... but your last 2 segments, can you clear that up a little? that sounds to sharpton for me. dont mean to be rude, but?

your right NY i do. they all say don't talk politics or religion as it will lead to arguements. well this thread is proof if people act mature and civil it can be discussed without flinging poo everywhere. the only reason i even brought this up is because of the general election here in Pa next week.

Rob i do see your point on some of the issues you have pointed out as i have seen some good points in this thread and a few i just don't agree with but it's not about that. we all should more focus on the positive (what little there is in this election) and run with it. and i have no clue what Gator is talking about. i really hope he explains this more. i just don't see his dislike for white people as you state and would like some proof on that or where you got your information from.

I will write in a vote for Ron Paul. It won't do any good, but it will make me feel better knowing that I didn't cast a vote for any of the three losers that we appear to be stuck with.

This is the most disgusted I have been with the voting options since I have been old enough to vote.
