Steer tire on trailer

We lease the truck and trailer and I noticed that theres a steer tire on the trailer. Is this legal? Its got good tread but ive heard this practice is only allowed on road side repairs so you can get to a repair facility. Any comments appreciated.

You can run steer tires on all positions -steer, drives and tandems. That's why they call them, "All Position Tires."

Imagine that! o_O

Perfectly legal. I would never purchase all position tires for a trailer, because you can get very low rolling resistance trailer tires.

Not a bad spot to put tires off the truck that had wear issues though if you can't get a decent trade in on them.
