Whats with these new weather phenomena names popping up lately.

Bomb cyclone
Winter hurricane


I was just getting use to La and El Nino. Has anyone ever seen Ball
Lightning
in real life. Its so rare supposedly that few hasve ever seen it.

what's with naming each freaking storm too nowadays?

snowstorms have names, high winds have names, forest fires have names,. floods have names, rains have names, like WTF with all the naming..????

Right !
You would think they would give these storms bad name based on severity.

Hurricane Hitler claimed 300 victims.

But no they say Hurricane Andrew and now you've got everybody name Andrew wondering... "Why me.

My dad had seen it once or twice... it helped being around locomotives all the time, with a railroad that was always in financial trouble (Rock Island) so maintenance wasn't always up to snuff. Both times were carbody-style units, once on the E-8 and the other on one of the F-7s.
