At least they didn't name him "Pookie"...
One of our drivers rescued a truck stop stray. It took him a week to catch the little guy. He'd put food out every day and was finally able to grab the dog and toss him in the truck. He's had him for a few months now, had him neutered and all the vet stuff. He's turned out to be a great little dog.I saw hundreds of poor dogs walk arround on rest areas arround the freeways desperate seek their owners its so sad and it makes me furious
I try to do what i can too... i brought 3 dogs to a animal shelter by myself i could not adopt them i already have a dog from them ...but maybe one day i open one by myself. There are a lot of Farms in germany very cheap for sale... i think thats one thing i like more than beeing trucker ^^I hate seeing strays, too. But I love watching successful rescues play out as well. The little dog our driver rescued has it better than he ever has. He gets good food, he gets his own toys, he gets to be in the house, he gets all kinds of pets and attention and he even gets to sleep on the bed. Life can't get any better for a dog.
