I haven't been there in forever. Joke's on me. I only ever went for their 4 for $99 tires back in the day.
How'd the Maypops work out?
at $25 per tire, it was a "driveway warranty"....
Believe it or not they were okay. They were basically what you'd get at Walmart for $60 or so today.
You don't want to have sporting intentions but when you're broke and your car is basic (in my case it was a 1989 Ford Escort) they're fine.
This was over 20 years ago too so 99 bucks was a bit more than it is today. Gas was less than 89 cents.
Lol I don't think they even had a warranty.
back in the early to mid 1970's, my tire supplier had new tires made in Israel...he had a deal, buy 2 and 2 were for free, as a way to get them sold and stay in America.
so the boss bought them, and we put them on his wife's car.
about one month later, car comes to the garage on the hook.
he was pissed, she was pissed.
two tires exploded into tiny little bits of rubber, and the other two were about to open like a zipper.
tire salesman caught hell, so much so, he gave the boss 4 brand new goodyears, free of charge, and paid the tow bill.
i don't believe those Israeli built tires were ever recommend again by that tire dealer.
Makes me wonder what they run on their vehicles in Israel.

Back in 1965 I got a credit card....bought four new tires for a pickup....only thing I ever bought with the a credit card....reason it took me forever to get the tires payed off. I had the card about a year....one day cut it all to pieces...never applied again for those sucker credit cards....one round was enough for me....
firestones, since they explode, and that area is prone to war, why buy anything else?
I've had my credit cards for about 5 years now and haven't carried a balance once. Collected a lot of cash back rewards though.

I not even impressed with all credit cards offers...for me there more problems then there worth....but they keep sending me there junk mail which hits the trash can unopened.
I bet you wish you still had that truck though.

So in 1965 you needed to replace all 4 tires on a 1965 model year truck? What the hell were you doing to it to tear up the tires that quickly? Donuts in gravel? Smoke shows? 😂It was a 1965 Chevy long bed....yea it be worth a few jungles of change....
