Good read on inflation. Henry Hazlitt also wrote "Economics in One Lesson" which I've mentioned here before so I won't mention it now. He also a book titled "Inflation" and I believe this article is in that book. It felt familiar as I reading it.

It is inflation, not the 1% that is punishing the poor.

I get a kick out o people on the major media sites in the comment section that whine about the banks raising inflation rates.
Clueless. It is not the banks that hold their mortgage that raise the interest rate per se, Until the bank that holds their mortgage follows the country raising interest rates.

Don't like it? Don't borrow money!
The debtor is a slave to the lender.

I’ve changed my whole way of thinking since the crash and now I am working to becoming debt free. I was an avid consumer before, now everybody calls me a cheap ass.

A person can avoid dealing with fluctuating interest rates by locking in a fixed rate mortgage while interest is low.

I learned the hard way, never get an adjustable rate mortgage.
