This is why you can always tell that sports journalists are the people who got a C- in college.

It should be, “The Brewers (blah blah blah) and have some promising prospects...”

They way it's worded sounds like the season is a wreck but they got a few kids in the farm teams waiting!

On Facebook Rigjockey Rigjockey is trying to distract from this shame by taking about some Canadian basketball team that probably doesn’t even exist and is fake news.

This is pretty cool. The Yankees vs. The Red Socks in London England.
The crowd is pretty intense. Lots of ex-pat Americans in the stands.
The field is new to both teams so no advantage.
I predict it will be a double digit final score. Hopefully Boston because, **** the Yankees. ;)

We are sucking so large this year:(

I like Charlie Montoyo's laid back style. I disagree with his playing players in positions that they were not hired to play.
way different style than John Gibbons

Okay seriously, What is the point of having an All-star game if the out come does not determine who gets the world series first game home field advantage? :dunno:

Now MLB goes with the most wins of the 2 teams to decide who gets home field advantage.:confused-96:

I don't get it, The Jays win against 1st and 2nd place teams and then drop the ball (Pun fully intended! 👍) against last place teams.
I get that it is a rebuilding years and most of these guys are rookies, but if they could have just had that same drive with last place teams as they do first place teams............We would be in the play-offs when it rolls around.

Toronto just traded the Stro-show, Marcus Stroman to NY.
Now you would figure he would be going to the NY Yankees. They are first place and need pitching help.
But, No! He is going to the NY Mets! Now that has gotta hurt!
The Mets are third in their division, same as the Jays. Ouch!

In all honesty it was time for the Stro-show and the Jays to part ways. He deserves better than we can offer him during a rebuilding period. Like going to the Yankees but, the Mets? Damn!:(

How many years does it take to rebuild?

In your defense I asked the same question about the Blackhawks the last two years. However Patrick Kane is the man. Putting up career numbers like the great one.
I don't know how long it will take this is the first year of the tear down.
I don't want to ask a leafs fan because they have been rebuilding for the last 50 years :rolllaugh:

I was never a mathmagician. I didn’t know there was a conversion rate on time man. Well since we talking about the Jays it would have to be in years Canadian.
yeah, and the devalued rate once it crosses the border.

if we all checked our spare pocket change, and find any Canadian pennies, we should ship them back up there to lessen the financial strain...

well then, what are those penny looking copper things, with that tree leaf on em....eh..????

2011 the Royal Canadian Mint had minted 1.1 billionpennies, more than doubling the 2010 production number of 486.2 million pennies. ... Existing pennies will remain legal tender indefinitely; however, pennies were withdrawn from circulation on February 4, 2013.

Exactly! they were withdrawn from circulation and are not accepted in any transaction except for taking them to the bank and cashing them in.
They cost more to produce than they were worth.
