If this is the off-season, I can only imagine the suckage that would be in-season.....

And "suckage" is the nice version of what I feel of this pit.

Ended up talking with the super visor who was on duty that night.

The port issues recently has really screwed things up. Imports nonexistent for premium prices so it drove the price of apples down domestically since the imported apples weren't coming in too. Fear of spoilage in the warehouses helped drive that fear too.


Honestly, they were no worse than any other produce market. Nogales, el Paso or Florida.

Normal loads he was saying is 10-25 loads this time of year. They've been shipping 70-80 loads a day right now. When I left stemilt yesterday, they had 40ish trucks on site. Norm is 3-5 this time of year.
