When I lived in Reno for a year there wasn't any small clubs or bars, it was all casino's. I'm from NH and there are tons and tons of small places with bands every Fri, Sat and Sun.

I went to school in Reno and loved Baldinis, getting waters and sodas to take home

While I agree with the theory I am super selective whom I drink around. They must be proficient in firearms, non-talkative, and anti-social........that way we can be friends ;)

The same can be accomplished with group therapy at any local range

seriously something about most ranges is there is a camaraderie even among strangers.

Not long after I started running my own numbers I took a multi-stop load to the Boston area.
After delivering the last drop before the weekend I ended up on the piers because a guy at the last consignee told me I could hang out there for the weekend while a winter storm passed through.

I found the joint and parked as unobtrusively [I can't believe spell-check didn't catch that one! o_O] as possible,
and after sipping a few sodas while munching fare from the grill and wall-flowering through Friday night while the barkeep assured me that parking for the weekend wasn't an issue...
I had a really good time Saturday n Sunday night.
:)

It reminded me a lot of the tavern my folks ran when I was young.

Family of man.

I would agree! I was much happier when our Legion was open I would go there when ever I could.
Most of the bars around here have a low life clientele. Even one bar where some guys told me to go home white boy (Of course I stayed until I was good and damned well ready to go home)

But we have a new contender. A friend of mines brother has opened a pub and he is opening one that is even closer to me ( short Uber ride)

I can't wait to get out and socialize again. Maybe even find a girlfriend for the weekend:biglaugh:

I use to like the antique or whatever store that was in downtown Reno. It had all sorts of stuff from A to Z. I use to buy old hard covered books for nothing there.

Did you know in Reno you can walk up to any pay phone and just start hitting the same button, any button over and over and a cab will show up?
