I'm trying to quit using brokers and focus more on direct shippers. However, the few customers I have aren't enough to keep me rolling. The problem for me is finding a good source for shipping leads.

There are several places like Trucking Planet, among others, that will sell you a list. But how good are the leads? There are a gazillion loadboard a but most are filled with BS that I don't have time to monkey with.

Where else should I look? Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I focus more on working with the core group of brokers.

I am guessing Haulmark is off that list?

They are not high on that list.

But the DNH ( do not haul) list is limited to TQL, coyote and road runner at the moment.

That sounds like an absolute waste of money to me. Sounds like they are simply building a list of businesses and phone numbers, and selling it to everyone. You can just as easily pound the pavement on your own time.
