yeah, this was all over the news. kid acted like a thug.

says he's sorry, but dad will not buy him another car, but will at least match some money the kid raises himself.

i don't see any reason why, any parent should buy thier kid a car...dammit, they will take for granted they can get anything at any time, from mommy and daddy.

make them work for it, maybe they will appreciate it more, and take care of it more.

i had to buy my first car, sis had to buy hers. oh, dad cosigned for me, i co-signed for sis. but that was the extent of it. and believe me, we each paid our our bills.

My dad bought me my first car.

    A Ford Escort for $40.

I had to replace the timing belt, battery & windshield, and bleach some mold in the back seat floorboard.

back in 1970, in my gas station days, i bought (on my own) a 1964 T-Bird, for $400. damn thing sucked up as much gas as i'd pump into it...sold it about one month later for $350.....

The seller was a hillbilly slob with anger management issues.

When the timing belt went out, he got mad & punched out the windshield from the inside.

The mold on the floor was from a plate full of rotting food he'd left in the car.

were you able to count how many teeth he had..??

more than one, he is not a hillbilly, but rather a trucker with bad oral hygiene...

    Asshattery:mad:

There is no mention of a card board box, sleeping outside, or physical labor.

Going to ******* soft on these kids nowadays:rant:

I wonder how old this "kid" is? Probably too young to be smokin dope and actin all thug. But he can afford Jordans?

Dad put tires on that thing too. I bought tires for my pickup last year, and even on sale that's an agony I'd rather not see again. Tires ("tyres" as @Kiwi303 calls them) are not cheap ever.

Hope the kid straightens himself out. Then again, I know plenty of straight A kids in high school who had various vices. One chick walked around with a plastic tumbler type cup. It was early in our senior year we found out it was wine she was drinking though that straw.
