Feels like trucking 2013 again, if only for one week.

So, started this week off in a weird direction. Arkansas to Laredo. Why? $2.06/mile.

I figured it was worth it, as I should be able to get something decent out of Laredo.

Well, while heading to Laredo, a load became available headed to Arizona, near Phoenix. Two Nissan prototypes, at a rate of $1.80/mile. That, and less than 5,000 pounds. Grabbed it immediately, not caring what was going to be available out in Phoenix.

Low and behold, a load that I was watching today became available. There were 4 of these loads, all but one taken as soon as they became available. So, I took it. $1.86 to Denver. Potato chips, so it's light and routed on the interstate due to elevation which makes the rate really nice.

Barring a miracle, I will go home from Denver cheap, but after those loads, I don't care.

Nice to see decent rates again, if only for a week.

Same load going out on Tuesday. Same pickup, same dropoff, about the same weight.

This time, the load only pays $1.90

Debating whether to do it or not.
