    HA!HA! You know something... it probably does when you are looking at it from space since it's lit up so well. Probably a bunch of reasons: don't want ships to hit it / don't want people jumping off it / don't want traffic stopped on it and so on.

    Oddly enough, Anne of Green Gables is considered Classic in Japan. Every summer there are hordes of Japanese tourists flocking to see Anne's home.

    PBS uses it to drum up donations every year. Maybe even several times a year.
