Herd a driver with a good idea. he said that to many drivers can't afford to completly shut down. his idea was to refuse loads for one week going to one city only at a time. say dc . that way it would not effect so many drivers but still get the point across. then do another city say nyc for a week and so on.

hey Bullwinkle has the idea of getting organized went away?? I was kinda seeing a group of us getting into the front of this and eventually forming something like and better than OOIDA.

Bullwinkle, Thank you for your encouragement and your comments, I'm not sure how to reply to messages yet but I am very pleased with the feedback, I hope this will be coming to you. I'd like to thank you also for your continued communications with the trucker and the food for thought you have to offer, some of my posting were as a direct reply to some of the questions you've challenged us with. Howdy guys!!

I've had a brilliant (?) idea to help get the word out. How bout we post a request for volunteers to go to their local truckstops and post some type of flyer as our own "call to action"

There are several within an hour or so of my house. I'll hop in the truck Wednesday on my day off and put out a couple hundred flyers. Right now it costs 9 cents a copy at OfficeMax for black and white copies. No extra charge for colored paper. For 20 bucks you could do a couple hundred flyers and get the word out.

I'm totally frustrated with the situation right now. I can't say I'm shocked things ended up this way, remember, we ARE talking about truckdrivers!!
