US Government Purposely Taking Truck Driving Jobs From American Truckers?

I was just searching for some information on the USA Trucking Layoff Rumor, when I came across this website. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed.

Site is temporarily closed, but the message was clear. The United States Government was bringing in over 100,000 truck drivers/year from other Countries, as late as July of 2008.

Notice how it also says that companies are pushing the Government to open these visas back up! Wonder why? Could it be that these big companies are getting subsidies for hiring drivers like this? Yet again, large companies getting a break that others don't have access to, at least that is how it seems.

A little common sense tells you that the companies taking advantage of this are capitalizing very likely with Government subsidies and most likely the advantage of putting people to work that they have to pay little to zero benefits to because they are part time workers. Come here for 6 months, then send them back home and fill the truck with another via a Visa.

Don't misunderstand me. I love the concept of legal immigration. I don't like this setup though where people come here, make money, then go home. Don't like it one bit, especially when this Country constantly has an issue with unemployment.

Another big issue to add to the list of bs this government of ours is doing. We must address this issue with serious concern. Our government has obviously employed a program, which is allowing a company in another country to pursue generating income off of, at the expense of American truckers...and ultimately at the detriment of American citizens.

Amazing the crap we find. The deeper ya dig...the worse it gets.

There's now a burr in my a$$ that needs removing. I will definitely be doing something aggressive to attempt to get this bs stopped. With all the bs this Congress of ours is pulling...this is got to be one of the worst I've become aware of. It's going to be a very rough next year...to say the least.

Knowing things like this is happening to us is sickening and dangerous to us and our families.

I don't know how to say this. This is not just a threat to longstanding Americans who built this country, it is an all out assault.

We need to talk about these things more and demonstrate anger when we hear this kinda stuff.

That is the purpose of bringing information like this to the forum. Things like this often go unknown to 99% of America.

When you see things like this that get under your skin, take advantage of every source you can to spread the word about it. myspace, twitter, digg, etc...

Get the word out and wake America up about things like this.
