Trucking company ACS plans to establish a foothold in Louisville by mid-November by hiring up to 100 people to sort, scan, and process paperwork near Louisville International Airport, company spokesman Chris Gilligan said.

The full time jobs, suitable for college students, retirees, and others will pay “above minimum wage,” Gilligan added.

ACS is in talks with city and state officials in an effort to obtain state tax incentives to open the facility , he added.

In this instance, ACS employees will be processing mileage logs, expense receipts and other paperwork filed by over-the-road truckers. That paperwork will be transported to the new ACS location from drop boxes at truck stops and other locations by UPS drivers. That's why the company is looking for a location near the UPS hub, he added.
