Yeah, my wife said he was talking to someone else but watching me walk out - Iwas so mad I had to leave before I blew a gasket.
He's just a pretty boy, ex-pro football player, 1st term congressman. The problem is his opponent this fall is a 1st class idiot.
Like I said I'll try to help pass this and show up on 27th, but I'm done talking.

two bill numbers for the house version, I don't understand that but there is three seperate places you can vote one is
WashingtonWatch.com - H.R. 5977, The TRUCC Act

WashingtonWatch.com - H.R. 5934, The TRUCC Act

and the last is the senate version;
WashingtonWatch.com - S. 2910, The TRUCC Act

My computer's been on the fritz for a week or so.
Got a letter from Sen. Richard Burr NC Last week. He said TRUCC act sounded good but he was afraid if it passed it would result in lower rates for drivers so he wasn't for passing it. Then he told me all about how he wanted to drill but Democrats wouldn't let them. I guess he didn't know that I watched that phony debate on C-SPAN and saw for myself what was really going on. That's the ONLY thing Republicans were interested in - no compromise - no help for middle class - no limits on speculation.
Anyway if that idiot can't figure out the drivers are getting screwd on rates AND fuel right now and he won't take his head out of his ass long enough to get some fresh air, then I say to hell with them all.
It's gonna take something more forceful than words to get their attention. I'm done talking - when it's time for action, I'll be right up front.

I did. I'm just pissed because none of my representatives Dem. or Rep. seem to listen or care. Hell, I can't even get my state rep to call me back about new toll road rumors here in NC.
They all need to be reminded who they work for.

Well said Luna, I voted as well!! I don't know why people are afraid to stand up and be counted upon. Is it just being lazy? Laziness is not defined from just the lack of physical work, but the mental work as well. We have to many lazy brains in our world, that take the easy way out all of the time. Rather than using there mind and voicing their opinions, they would rather have someone else do it for them. Let me say this, it takes everyone of us to voice our opinions and show our government that we can put the united back into the United Sates.

TTW that is the same message that I get as well, "you have already voted". besides why would each and everyone vote a second time, it gives us a false impression and when it comes to the support of the actual bill being passed. We need to keep our numbers honest and true. There is no need to vote more than once unless it comes up for a second vote because of a miscount.

Just Keep going, We are not the one's who can pass the bill.We are the people who can show(Them)The Voters want the Bill.
How many time's are we going to let (THEM) push us aside.
Do you like the taste of defeat?
Pretty sour to me!

TRUCC Act still alive.
With the urging and help of OOIDA, Congress has taken the first steps to mandating a 100% pass-through of levied fuel surcharges to the person paying for the fuel and providing increased transparency in the transaction between brokers and small business truckers.

Two bills have been introduced, H.R.5977 & S. 2910 -- both are titled as the “Trust in Reliable Understanding of Consumer Costs Act” or “TRUCC Act”. OOIDA and its government affairs staff worked very closely with the lawmakers who drafted and sponsored these two bills and the Association is now focusing its energy on gaining support for them. (Read the complete text: H.R.5977 and S. 2910.)

In the House of Representatives, HR5977 has been referred to the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure which has already held a hearing related to the legislation. S. 2910 is now under review by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

Our opponents have made killing the TRUCC Act their top priority.
The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) has been meeting with lawmakers and conveying blatantly false information about the TRUCC Act, how some brokers function and about OOIDA. The ATA has also been lobbying to kill the bill while refusing to take a public position on the TRUCC Act.

The most important thing you and other truckers can do to help is to call both of your senators and your representative and encourage/pressure them to sign on as co-sponsors of H.R.5977 or S.2910. The more co-sponsors a bill has, the more likely it is to move forward in the legislative process. To contact your lawmakers call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and provide your ZIP code to the operator to be connected to the appropriate office.
