I never argue with anyone trying to do something constructive for this industry just pointing out that nothing will work until there one date and not a bunch of dates floating around most people will shut down and protest if they think it has a chance of succeeding but since, as its been pointed out many times the group that will lead the charge is the O/os and they can ill afford to shut down every time someone mentions a date so they are holding back so they lose money only when it will do some good.
you saw my thread where I was seeing if there was a base that would do something and you also saw the poor showing of the people that were willing to become active, and I wasn't even asking for a commitment on anything just a show of interest.
I do have hope that something can still be put together from the number of views that thread and some other threads on here have had though.
My view is that someone will finally put together a real plan to not only unite the different groups but also since it is going to take more than that such as a plan to get the word out to everyone in a way that they will believe it, which will take much more than just a few threads on a website plus a whole lot of other details for anything to succeed.
think in the terms of a business plan, and anyone that has ever written one knows that a good one takes a lot of thought,time and information to be done right.
don't think that it can be done without any thoughts of money either, I personally have put a fund together from my own money that I will donate to the cause, but so far I have not seen any plan that I am willing to donate too.
so if you really want to put a plan in place you are going to have to take the time to start at the beginning and cover al the bases,right at the moment all i see is the same plans we have seen in the past few months just repackaged and recycled and they have a proven track record of not working.
BTW, I am not bashing,putting down,or belittling any person or idea that is put foreward, just offering constructive criticism, and if I see any plan that I think has even a small chance of succeeding I will jump into it with both feet, and that isn't just talk as more than one on here knows, I have been active in several different plans this year alone, this ain't my first roadeo
