A little while back, I tried to get everyone to start protesting at the state capitols, then their became talk of yet another shut down and no one really agreed. Well i will try one more time to get things going and organize and if there is no interest then i will never again discuss it here on this forum. Are you ready to start something or do we just want to continue to sit here week after week scratching our heads. I personally have just about had all i can take of contacting our government, they know our problems. They've heard it over and over and over and over again, in my opinion letter writing time is over. I f you want to protest all we have to do is organize with dates and times, make up flyers and pass them out at work, church, grocery store bulliten boards, walmart, fire depts. police dept., etc. You might be surprised at the response, after all this does effect ALMOST every American citizen. Anyway like i said this will be my last attempt. We can try to do something or we can sit here and continue to debate on what needs to be done.

I agree, and think it is something that is definitely workable. I think a State by State protest at the State capitals is a great idea. I think setting it up by individual states and have each state protest their own capital city on the same date and time would be awesome, and would cut expenses by people not having to travel great distances to participate in a protest 2 or 3 states away. It would also be much easier to organize on a state by state level than trying to organize one big single protest. I think it is something that will work and will be effective. I'm definitely in and will do whatever I can to wage this Battle. Who else is onboard with this, or who thinks differently?

yes, we need to plan it right. And try to figure away to get the word out.
Most Capital's have Collage's close buy, Most student's are free spirt.
They have there own way of communicating, text mess. school paper's Flyer's that like truck stops wont take down. Radio stations,
most are of age and have the right to vote, They are young and open to change.

As soon as we get serveral responses we can start to put things in motion. I have something to say, as usual, lol. I promise that i am not trying to be rude or disrepectful but only trying to be honest. I have over the last few months become very angry and bitter and SICK TO DEATH of watching what is happening to our country. I've had enough. I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.. For who ever is with me, thank you for your efforts and support. For who is against me, that is your God given right. You might can say alot of things about me and disagree with me and even laugh at my efforts if you like and i may be standing infront of the state capitol by myself with my protest sign but there will be one thing NO ONE will ever be able to say about me and that is that i didn't try and all i did was whine and complain and no matter what happens, i can take pride in that. S.S.thanks for your support, we could sure use your help on your web site spreading the word and hopefully a few other web sites.

we need to bring gearjammers thread together with this. And go at it, put it to the wall.
As you all know this is not going to be a easy State,
Some how we need the mid west, and the west.
put it together and have ts08, bulliton on myspace, that will reach close to 3000. people.

TTW...I will definitely put something together on the site, as well as include what ever action is being pursued in my presentation at the Arkansas Truck Show...if we have a plan of action before Aug 1. I'll help in any way I can.

Luna, gearjammer has already stated that he was not interested in pursuing any action right now due to lack of interest. All i know is that something needs to be started by someone and I am willing to be that someone.

How does everyone feel about the idea of the individual states protesting at their state capitals in unison...same day, same time? Get as many states on board as we can with good organizers. It may only produce 1 or 2 hundred (hopefully many more) at each protest, but the fact of all being at each and every capital at the same exact time on the same exact day might just impress someone. Any other ideas, please share them with us.

well, hopefully that is the plan that we pursue, we don't have to get EVERY STATE involved, just the majority and i feel if we work hard at this we can pull it off because there is alot of pissed off people out there whom i'm sure would love to express their frustrations.

Tomorrow night is good for me, and I think we need to stress that these protests are not only for trucks, but for everyone. However the more trucks we can possibly get there the more impressive it will be to others. Somewhere around 8 or 9pm might be a good time....let me know. I do agree with Luna, we need to work really hard on some of the Mid & Western States to get involved along with the East, South & North East. Problem is, I don't recall anyone being on here from the far West or North West except for GreyFoxx and he's banned for life.....

sounds like a plan. I think NC is already heading rapidly that way. Also think same day or even sameweek or month simultaneously wolud be good. Sometimes 4or5 jabs is just as good as a roundhouse. I'm all for turning up the heat. Congress plans on leaving Aug. 25th for the rest of the year, I think. They need to be told that they're not finished working for us.

If truckers in each state got on the CB and said something to truckers who don't live there, but are in the area. Even some company drivers might be able to participate in the protest. That's assuming all states aren't protesting on the same day.

I won't be there, as that is when I am at work, but I wish the best of luck to you and hope you can start something that will truly make a difference in this industry.
