at this point I am not asking for anyone to commit to anything yet I was wanting to know if there are enough people still willing to even try if the opportunity presented itsely.
my thoughts are along the line of a longer term, more concerted plan that has organization, and order and backing from those involved before anything is tried that will make the politicians take notice.
just some of the problem in this industry[ and there are many] have actually been resolved?
the Mexican trucker program is still going on
the rates are still stuck in the early "90s"
the brokers are still screwing with the fuel surcharges, and while the TRUCC act was introduced it is stalled in committee where i suspect it will end up dying
more and more stated fail to realize the anti idling policies they are enacting are a danger to the people that drive for a living
and the biggest problem of all is the failure to unify the truckers themselves there are many small groups all trying to do something and none are big enough to get much more than a 30 spot on some local news stations
and the list goes on and on and the only thing that we are getting for our efforts if we get anything at all is some feel good words that do nothing.
you want to know what my plan is, well it isn't business as usual
one of the most important aspects is how to UNITE the small groups and coordinate a plan of action
