A strike is needed, but the strike would have to be at least 10 to 15 days to get anyone's attention. I know it sounds like a long time, and lost money. Let me tell you, you would get it back 10 fold. After 3 days the restaurant's are starting to hurt, after 7 days, the restaurant's are really panicking and the grocery stores are beginning to hurt, after 10 days the restaurant's are closing the grocery stores are panicking. After 15 days the grocery stores are almost out of supplies. The truck drivers in this country need to understand they run this country, without trucks America STOPS!!! If you want to put a stop to all the Crap, All the Drivers need to get enough nerves to stand up and take control back!!! Labor day is to far off, I say July 4 is a good time to start. Plan a two week vacation, or just lay around the house with your family!!

not flaming but you should do a bit more research 5 days at the outside and this country would be begging the truckers to start rolling again, probably less than that Italy was begging after the third day!

My husbands company was calling by 3:00 April 1st. begging him to come back to work and bring the other drivers.

If, and notice I say IF 75% of the trucks in the US stop rolling, in 48hrs the city of NYC is out of groceries. Their warehouses hold only enough to supply the cities stores for 2 days. The biggest part of the rest of the country is pretty much at a standstill in 3 to 4 days tops. It won't take long, it will take a lot of planning and a lot of cooperation from drivers to unite and pull it off. That's the key to the whole thing. Not the length of time, the percentage of drivers that are willing to shut-up, and shut-down.

we're talking massive people here
and don't stay home we need to be seen protesting and getting people to get out on the highways and roads stopping jb schneider and all the other big companies from going down the road

ok your talking about people getting arrested. are you willing to get arrested and going to jaiol and standing in front of a judge then paying a fine for obstructing traffic ? i'm not.

you can't stop them from making money and these drivers doing there job. and how you gonna stop them cause i tell you, you get stupid enough to pull in front of me while i'm driving a big rig and try to stop me, i'm thinking your trying to rob me so i will run your ass over and get the hell out of dodge. you need a new plan.

That's exactly what needs to happen Mark. If it isn't huge, it isn't happening. This industry and this country can't afford just another Flash-In-The-Pan. I'm not 100% sure that we have time for another shutdown, but I'm also not sure that we can just sit here on our dead asses and continue to do nothing. For those here that say they won't do anything to jeaprodize their finacial situation, you say in one sentance that we can't do anything if everyone doesn't step up and get united. Then in the next sentence you say your not going to stop work and jeopardize your personal financial situation. I think this is where someone needs to say "You Can't Have It Both Ways". Save your breath and just come out and say "I don't give a damn what happens to the O/Os as long as I can pay my bills, they're on their own". The only chance another shutdown has is ultimate planning, and an all out effort to get the word to every driver on the road. Not sit at home, get up, get out, and make signs, make poster, make flyers, and most of all Make Noise ! ! !

so know your going to jail for attempted murder. it's easy to get frustrated and think this way but we have to remember we have the capabilities to ratrionalize and make good decsions.

i'm still waiting for my last paycheck from my last company and i have thought the things that just aren't worth it. and my thoughts are nothing i can share here. karma will return the favor and they will get screwed over one day. i'm in the process of taking them to court and getting what is due to me. it makes me angry to think this goes on in the trucking industry, drivers not getting there last paycheck or money due. trucking compaies think they are untouchable. and i'm supposed to strike or boycott to save this piece of shit industry ? i am so close to saying fuck america let the damn towel heads and mexicans have it and i'll move to (nobodies fucking business).

Yeah, I'm willing to go to jail and stand in front of a judge and pay a chickenshit fine, and get the chance to tell the entire courtroom why I did what I did, and get the media attention out all over the country. Hell Yes !!! Been there and done that. This ain't my first damn rodeo. And if you haven't got the sense and the education to read a big sign or poster being held up by the person standing in front of you then I guess you'll just run my ass over and then you too can stand your ass before a judge and jury and try to explain why you ran down an innocent person protesting for a cause. Ok here is what we need to do
1. Set up the date 90 days from now, So we set it for 25th of August , thats 1 week prior to labor day.
2. We start talking about it now, we get the word out if something is not done by this date we shut the country Down, we talk to every politician , every media outlet, every trucker driver, every Company this is whats going to happen...
3. The day of the shutdown we gather masses of people in different rally points across the country Big trucks stops fields along highways we park the Trucks, the vehicles.. we get the medias Attention this way.
4 Instead of Blocking traffic we have Vehicles do the 15 Mph under the speed limit that the law requires on all major Highways. we have vehicles go side by side and create a major traffic jam across the country, now we are not breaking the Sherman Anti trustlaws we are slowing down traffic and the drivers driving these Vehicles are taking safety precautions.

these are just some of the Ideas but we need to spread the word now and we can come up with more Ideas and Solidify them or readjust them as we all see fit....
