Wanted to share a news item I heard on the radio today: Commodities markets regulators are keeping a close eye on the oil futures markets, to see if there is any artificial upward pressure on the price of crude (caused by speculators). Raising the margin requirements (how much you have to "put down"), would basically chase away the speculators, and the price could very easily drop back down to $100/barrel, which translates to about $3.50/gallon for gas. Will they do it? I dunno, but I thought I would share that with the group.

Where may I find this news item. This is definitely something to check out and pursue putting pressure on individuals on the hill, as well as any contact info which may be obtained to individuals within the Commodities exchange. Please provide a link, or source, I can research.
