My truck has been parked for quite a while,and I can safely say that in hindsight, if I hadn't shut it down when I did I wouldn't own it now!
If I were still hauling I would take her up on the offer to get our message out... quick

Swiss TV is hoping to film some time between June 8-19. They would ideally like to film drivers who own their truck and who are seriously considering leaving the business, in order to highlight how bad things are.

Moose...I believe they want to spend at least a couple of days, but I will be speaking with Nanette tomorrow and I will make the suggestion you are pointing out about all aspects of what independents go through. But I do believe this can at least be conveyed during the interview period. But I will make the suggestion of experiencing this first hand to Nanette.

Tn.TruckersWife...I will need phone#'s and good time to contact with a little background (ie. how long as independent.) Not a whole lot on background...just information I can convey which demonstrates they're not a rookie - that they are experienced and know what they're doing out there. Don't want to send a young'n up to represent the whole on such an important issue...know what I mean. An OTR is definitely a must to put in contact, but I also feel the local will be just as important.

Also, everybody...let's not just get a couple of drivers. Let's get as many drivers as possible to demonstrate it's not just a few out here being financially crippled...it's everyone being affected. Anyone, and everyone, feel free to email me with contact info and a little background info I can use to pass along.

It wouldn't hurt to at least maybe talk with her. Explain the reasons why you have parked the rig.

She needs to be on a truck that is running. His mood is not good.
That also means for a driver sitting that long with a rider, someone is sleeping over the wheel. unless she is being followed, and then u know as well as I When a truck runs it runs. They wont wait.

I would be happy to. Send me a PM with the details... I have an uncle who is still a otr o/o and he just filed bankruptcy! He is still hauling tankers and may take her up on the offer.
