NEW YORK - Oil prices bolted to a new record above $132 a barrel Wednesday after the government reported that supplies of crude oil and gasoline fell unexpectedly last week. And crude's rise in the futures market again pressured consumers by pulling prices at the pump higher — a gallon of regular gas rose overnight to a new record above $3.80 a gallon....

ok heres a question if crude is selling at $132.00 a barrel and a barrel is 32 gallions then how in hell can gas only average $3.80 a gallon. The numbers add up that the crude alone is over $4.12 a gallon then you add all the other costs refining, transportation, taxes, ect. the figures suggest the gas should be selling well north of $5.00 a gallon!!

I can think of only two answers to this discrepancy,

!. the oil companies are telling the truth and they are not making any money in the States, which I highly doubt.

Or 2. the government is lying to us and in order to prevent a panic are subsidizing fuel costs.

I tend to believe the latter and now wonder if we are not actually at war with the entire middle east [ OPEC]. Not a war using bullets but a war using energy, albeit an undeclared war that the government is afraid to tell us about much the same way that they are afraid to use the recession word and admit that they have screwed all Americans with their lack of leadership!!

I will tell you this we had better not lose this one or this country will slip to third world status in the blink of an eye.

It's the shares in the stock market that are driving up prices...People with money are buying up futures in oil in the stock market because we are being told gas prices will continue to rise. This is what is driving the price higher and higher. Everyone is jumping on the band wagon. So it has nothing to do with supply and demand right now.

the question isn't about the price per se but the fact that the price of even the crude is more than $.50 a gallon that what the retail price of gas is.

How you holding up lady. and where is Bandit been the last few days?

You asked if something was about to happen ....

I think getting the word out about the Bakken Oil Field is leaving dent on the doors of Congress and Wall Street. I've sent well over 50 Congressmen the poop on Bekken, the new oil find in Colorado, Oklahoma California, Nevada.

Wall Street News On PBS last night mentioned that the Chevron stock jumped because of the new estimate about Bakken reserves, and even the talk of the effects Oil Speculatiors are having on crude oil. Hell... the Chinese are drilling off the coast of Florida in the Cuban's oil fields

For the last seven years I have been finding holes in what the lobbyists have been brainwashing our Congressmen with. I never miss a chance to pass what I find on the Net to anyone in the media who can use the information. I even been sending all info to Fox, and now they are letting the cat out of the bag one leg at a time. From what I'm able to gather from the scuttlebutt blowing around Wall Street, and Congressional reporters is that Congress can no longer ignore what is going on behind it's back. to be more more precise, Congress has been ignoring the Bakken Oil Fields since 1999 when it was discovered. The theory use to find this oil has been use by the Russians since 1970's. I won't go into that right now, except to say that the Russians have found oil in places that the western oil industry said it couldn't be found.

This is why I keep saying we need to be bombarding our Congressmen with the fact that we don't need to import one drop of oil from another country, not even Canada which is the number one oil exporter to the U.S. We need to force the oil industry to build the State-Of-The-Art refineries like those in Norway. Congress is beginning to see the lobbyist have been lying to them, and have made Congress look like a house of fools. During the resent Senate investigation committee meeting the question came up as to why the oil companies have not built new refineries. The reality is the both the Congress and the oil industry have been caught with their pants down. The time is coming when the truth behind high fuel prices will come gushing out, and Congress is try to cover their asses. The War Cry "Supply and Demand" by the oil companies today means we raise demand and prices by cutting supply. The CEO's are thinking they can save $$ by not using their profits to build refineries that would then take more $$ to run them, and the end result would be their stock holders love us all the more. The truth is that many perfered stock holders as well as those holding common stock are feeling the effects of the corruption behind higher fuel prices and are saying no more! We all need to remember that Harvard and Yale have turned out a lot of CEO's with the morality of a rabid jackal.

I've been screaming for years at my Congressmen in California and now Oregon about the RICO Laws that the Federal Trade Commission has had to go after the oil companies on racketeering charges. Recently the FTC was told by Congress to use the laws already on the books to stop the fuel price control. The RICO Laws were created to stop Racketeering in the U.S back in the 20s. What is happening is the lies are beginning to unravel and Congress doesn't want to be the only one with it's pants down, not with their approval rating all ready as low as 11%.

So yes when you put it all together (and I'm sure I'm forgetting something here), but the things are going to start happening. But that only means we have to keep pounding on the doors of Congress to keep reminding them that we are watching want they do next.

By the way has anyone heard anything about lobbyist for the large trucking companies trying to get Congress to past laws to allow for much larger trucks on the highways? I heard it while lessening the buttheads on Fox yesterdaynoon, but havn't had time to look into it. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Super Highway, and the North American Union?

There are not enough hours in the day.

Hey Ya'll,,,I'm still not feeling up to par, but I'm here for a little while anyway. I got out today and went to the doctor and wound up getting totally disgusted by what I saw. Gas here went to $3.89 a gal. up from $3.79 yesterday and diesel to $4.65 a gal., up from $4.49 yesterday. We still need this boycott, and we need it Right Now. However, this is not going to be enough or soon enough to help us at the rate the oil companies are stealing from us. If they keep going at the rate they are now going, the boycott won't be a fast enough to mean anything before we all go under. We need the boycott, but we need something Strong, and We Need It NOW!!! At the rate they are raising fuel prices they will easily break all of us long before a boycott even bothers them. I don't know if we can even move fast enough to stop what they are doing, without the majority of people in this country saying we've had enough and just plain STOP....Stop and Stay Home. We all know that isn't going to happen, so where does this all leave us? My local news hasn't even mentioned the fact that gas and diesel jumped as much as it did today. It's like nobody cares anymore. We just fill up and pay the price, whatever it is. What they did have on the news was a whole segment on "The Art Of Dumpster Diving". Can you believe that? They are showing the people how to steal food from a grocery store dumpster. What the hell has this damn country come to? What the hell is wrong with the people of these United States Of America? It's no wonder I'm sick.....all this is enough to make anyone sick. There is a report on the national news RIGHT NOW about truckers using drugs to KEEP GOING.....not about truckers going broke because of high fuel prices.....DANGEROUS TRUCKERS ON DRUGS !!!!!........Welcome to the USA, Home Of The Naieve and Land Of The Bankrupt.....Does the Government own and control the mass media? I really don't know if we can do anything fast enough to stop all of this or even slow it down, but I know we have to at least give it our best shot.....No one else seems to give a shit about anything anymore. Has anyone come up with any poster/flyer samples? I have homemade signs in my yard and on my vehicles, but something a little nicer would be more effective I think. I'll try to be here as much as I can tonight, it may be off and on, but I'll do my best. I don't think there is such a thing as an Awesome Day anymore.....so I'm not even going to say it.

No reason to omit Pilot. We agreed that we would boycott Exxon/Mobile & Pilot Fuel Stops. Exxon/Mobile as the largest gasoline supplier, and Pilot as the largest diesel fuel supplier. Let's stick to what we agree to do or the whole thing is useless. I think we agreed on May 26th as the start date. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And it is to be a total boycott of both companies from May 26th 2008 until ??.

These were only suggestion, made up in less the 10 minutes.

You can't miss ExxonMobil stations there on every other block, but I don't think I've ever seen a Pilot anywhere on the west coast, but then I only stop at truck stops for the food. I think we going to need two signs?

The background of the signs should never over shaddow the message. Which ever sign design we decide on they will be flying up and down the highways on the sides and backs of a simi, in car windows, or in yards with cars flying way. I don't know how many other artists there are out there but give it a shot, but remember we're trying to get other driver's attention, not having an art show. In my first post I mentioned I'd lost most of my art business because of gasoline prices. Now I just have 10 art galleries reping my work. In my 55 years in the art business I've done it all from painting in oils, and watercolors to carving wood, stone, ivory, and amber, handmade designers luggage, children jigsaw puzzles, to designing my own brochures for my different art related businesses. There's a time to be artsy. and another time to be fartsy. My point has to keep it clean and genairic and get the message across fast.

Lets hear some text suggestions.

Lets get this in gear, Monday is the 26th ..... chop chop.

I going to bed.....

There were three designs I posted, one was for ExxonMobil, one for Pilot, and on with Exxon and Pilot.

just go back in and resize it and download it again. don't forget to save it after you reload it. with simple text you should be able to make it larger without making it blurry.
