WASHINGTON -- A coalition of about 30 trucking carriers, shippers, and manufacturers is in Washington in an attempt to convince Congress to adopt several demonstration pilot projects involving larger trucks in select U.S. states.

There are already 57' Trailers around and MOST DRIVERS AND STREETS present problems with 53 footers.
Sure, increase Trailer Sizes and Lengths and carrying capacities and see more accidents and deaths because of them.
Roads are bad enough already without adding fuel to the inferno.
WE have enough wrecks with 53 footers because of the incompetency levels now.
Longer Trailers will KILL MORE PEOPLE because wrecks will naturally increase as will damages to structures much beyond what we are experiencing now.


Think I'll move to the Mountains pretty soon. Aren't many Trailers able to get around up there, when at all.
