well CONGRATULATIONS, you are a card carring member of the "IT CAN'T BE DONE CROWD"
You should feel proud in how you and other members of you club are able to laugh at the truckers trying to DO something!

you should also feel proud in the way your membership has let big business dictate what the prices are going to be for the independants!!

the reason we cannot get anything done to clean up this business is because you and your fellow members of the "it can't be done crowd" are so successful at convincing people that conditions are not "PERFECT" for shutdown!

come on man get some balls and stand with instead of against the people trying to DO something
tear up the membership card to the "it can't be done club"
Very good post!!!!!!!!

Those of us that shut down, only lost due to Ball less guys that don't know how to make things better across the industry as a whole.

There is a comment clink at the AOL POLL where it might be interesting to ask why the Teamsters are not supporting the O/Os just to see what they might say. In any case check it out.

Dear --- ---------,
Fight back against an anti-union smear of the Teamsters! Take this AOL poll and help us stop the lies being spread about the Teamsters, North America's most powerful labor union.
Yesterday, conservative blogger John Hinderaker asked the following question in an AOL poll:
What do you think of Barack Obama's private promise to end strict federal oversight of the Teamsters Union?
- It's a corrupt bargain
- I don't like it, but that's politics
- It's of no concern
Tell AOL's readers it's of no concern. Why? Because this bogus allegation made by anti-union forces was debunked by the New York Times and other journalists nearly two months ago. However, Hinderaker never mentions the fact that there was no "private promise," or that other presidential candidates presented the union with similar opinions.
There's no question, our great union should be free from government oversight. But based on shoddy reporting, a majority of poll respondents disagree. It's up to us to set the record straight.

If truckers ever want to be successful with a shutdown, they need to unite together and quit worrying about whatever the hell the teamsters are doing. The teamsters, or any other friggin union that the owners operators are generally not part of shouldn't even be a factor in discussions of a shutdown.

If 50% of the owner ops shutdown, and that shutdown was led by a trucking organization that was ready to speak on the truckers behalf, those speakers would be given the podium within 3 days at the most.

First off, truckers need to organize and agree on just what the hell they want to have accomplished though. This is something I have yet to see in any shutdown talk.
