A horrific accident in Franklin County Wednesday night left a woman dead and a man behind bars charged with murder and DUI. The incident happened just after 9 p.m. US 421 between Frankfort and Midway. State police say a tractor trailer hit a van driven by Leslye Robertson, 41, of Frankfort head-on. The crash sent both vehicles off the road and over an embankment. Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, Paul George Neto, 46, of Alabama, was arrested and charged with murder, DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. State police say Highway 421 two miles east of Frankfort will remain shut down throughout most of the morning Thursday as crews work to clean up the mangled vehicles. Police ask that you find an alternative route.
