Well, this is obviously growing rather quickly. I was pulling these from google news, and just since last night, there are two new pages of news links. Rather than keep clipping them, here is an easy direct link. The news media is eating this up.

Whoa, massive new story here in Savannah. Lead story at 5:30 was 2 trees on Johnny Mercer slated to be cut down....

Second story, save a puppy...drug dog scheduled to be put down, now going to a new town to be drug dog.

Third story....drug bust in NORTH CAROLINA!!!

Forth story.... Deputy in Columbia, Sc shot

Fifth story ....fire in Atlanta school..

As you can see, local news not really paying attention to our plight.

34 comments, as of this posting, on the news station's website that I emailed yesterday about this and all are positive. This station did respond to my email and provided me with the earlier posted link. Every little bit helps!!!

Have you contacted all of your local news outlets?

Not sure about where you are at, but all you have to do is search google news (via the link I posted), and you will see many local news stories regarding truckers shutting down.

    Lack of TV coverage

I'm about an hour from Savannah and about 2 hours from Augusta. My brother-in-law drives containers from Savannah. Savannah should join SC, they have more news from there than they do Georgia, but I digress....

CBS DID their lead story on the diesel crisis, but didn't address the potential work stoppage.

I tried to call all 3 stations in Savannah, got answering machines all 3 times. I have emailed them, but no response.

Give it time. One station here immediately responded, and another took about 15 hours - I've hit every one of them anywhere near here and it seems to be working. Rest assured they got your email...maybe you should include some links to give them reference, or if you'll send me their WWW I'll do it, more emails might help. I'm relatively close - North Florida.

More local news outlets will be covering it this week as we have moved within a week of the shutdown.
