Just an update.
Apparently the GPS goofballs have been so bad that at the weigh station on I-26 just south of Asheville they have a new blinking yellow sign.

Some more of that crumbly mountain fell into the highway today. This time it was a few miles East of the slide they're cleaning up now. Gawd, I hate that strech of I-40. Never see it unless I have too, and, that is pretty much never.

HARMON DEN — A new rock slide occurred early Saturday on I-40 near the Tennessee border, but it happened within the section already closed because of an earlier slide, and state officials don't anticipate it affecting overall cleanup plans.
The new slide is at mile marker 6.5, about four miles east of the Oct. 25 rock slide, near the Harmon Den exit.
The slide, estimated at 500 cubic yards -- about 50 dump truck loads -- was discovered by a contractor working on the earlier slide about 1 a.m. Saturday
