New regulations day, truckers. It happens every July 1st-and usually a few other times throughout the year. Usually, they’re all bad news from a driver’s perspective. One that may negatively affect Mid-West truckers is the new Ontario speed limiter law that takes full effect today after a six month ‘grace’ period. It will certainly affect you if you go into Canada.

I'm in Ontario now and yeah , my carrier could be affected . I gave my terminal manager a Canadian magazine last week that had speed limiter enforcement as the cover story and I reminded the shop supervisor . My truck stayed at the shop Monday and Tuesday because it needed a windshield relaced . They didn't set the speed limiter .
