Screw hooking up. I parked in them a lot anyways, but always tried to have the courtesy not to have to run the truck. of course, I've seen guys parked in the spots idling too, and that's just douchebaggery, but what can ya say...

In fact, in certain places, guys never did seem to catch on to the fact that you could park there and not hook up and there was nothing they could say.

The Petro in York, NE was a prime example of this. Guys would be stacked 3 and 4 deep crowding the driveway, meanwhile, there's tons of open idleaire spots on a 60 degree night. HAHAHAHAHAHAH....

Truck stops also have wifi. TA and Petro have Interstate SpeedZone and Pilot has it's own...on and on.

This really is no great loss to the industry at all. I wonder who is going to pay to remove the huge concrete stanchions though. The Park N View stuff was easily ignored, but these huge concrete things really screwed up a lot of parking lots.

Has anyone used shorepower yet? I understand it is simply an electric outlet so you can plug in, kinda like a KOA campground.

My truck has this mysterious outlet thing on the side. I guess that's what it's for. Either that, or that's where it recieves it's orders from it's mothership.

Sinister, you are not talking about the electrical plug in for the engine heater are you? Usually beneath the door but sometimes it is an add on so the cord hangs down under the hood

When I hauled entertainment/circus loads, those guys had it down to a science, they would pull up to a light pole, if you look towards the base, there is a little opening covered by a plate allowing access to the wires for a service tech, these guys would hot wire an extension cord into the pole, they would run their a/c, fridges, what not for their little campers, they made it look so easy i was tempted to learn how but I knew I would just end up frying myself or causing a state wide blackout, last thing I want is to be seen doing a perp walk on Fox News

Rebel, or just give it time, the way some drivers operate in t/s, it won't take long and the blocks will be smashed to bits, I watched a ATS bobtail run up on TOP of a jersey barrier at the J in Carlisle, just tore the crap out of the underside of his truck, and I'm not perfect either, I ran over a bolder at a Petro and destroyed my oil pan, my excuse was it was night and pouring down rain, I learned a $500 lesson
