OK. I am about to purchase a new truck and i dont know which one i should get. My options are The 2007 Freightliner Century Class, The 2007 Kenworth T600, Or the Peterbilt 387. All of them have 475 Kitty Cats in them and are all 13 speed. I like the peety cause it looks nicer than the other ones. Which ones should i Choose. Whats your opinion?

T600, if its spec'd right. Stay FAR away from the 660 or any 2008 engine.

Also you may want to take into consideration fuel mileage, because like everything else, diesel just keeps rising

I was just looking around today at that very question. Just for the heck of it. I try to avoid the Pete's becouse they are pretty pricey and kind of cramp. But I was impressed by the KW. From what I gathered, you can get the same intieriors as a W900 in the W600's. Thats kinda nice. Looks like they have a great non-emissions power gadget too that Heat and Cools the cab without idling (and powers). Thats money saved right there.

W900 = T600/T660, different body parts, but sleeper, and cab are the same dimensions.

very good point. and from my current experience with the 389 Pete, that thing does not get good fuel mileage. Not sure if it is due to the auto-shift, or that the truck is new, but I am still getting under 6.5 mpg, running 67 mph max.

I used to be a die hard cat fan till the rise of the cost got me,then I found my way into a detroit.Yeah I know alot of guys frown on them, but because they use a bigger, more free spinning turbo, they actually get better fuel milage. So they fight a little harder on hills, but you can cure that by upgrades-Turbo city! Or compramise and get a cummins-somewhere between a Detoit and a Cat. As for trucks,it's pretty much up to your preference, but remember,Freightliners' interiors start becoming rattley and squeeky after a few thousand miles.I've driven a T600,but never the 387 so I can't compare or give opinion on that, but the T600 was great,go for the bigger sleeper if you can find it though, you'll appreciate the extra room when dressing or cleaning house.

In my opinion and i have drove a lot of trucks over the years, the is my favorite hands down. thats what i drive and all i will drive unless i just absolutely can not get one.

I would give them a close look and see what you think about it after you look at all the specs on them.
