we could tell you, but it would be a generic figure. only the owner-operator would know his/her CODB (cost of doing business).
we can say, $1.00 per mile is good, but your bills would probably be paid off 100%...
we can say, $1.50 per mile is good
we can say, $2.00 per mile is good.
what needs to be remembered is that competition out there dictates the going rate.
you charge, $2.00 per mile, someone comes in at $1.50 per mile, and gets the load.
if you had to ask, this means you have no experience right now. a shipper will see this as he speaks with you. a sauvey o/o will see this too, and underbid you.
