I prefer to go solo myself...simply because being stuck in a small space with another person (anyone)for several weeks at a stretch will test the strongest of friendships. I would suggest that you go out with him the first time with this in mind, and have a mutual agreement that in order to keep your relationship healthy, that you reserve the choise (sp)to stay at home every other run or so. (or however often is comfortable for you both)
In such a confined space Jesus and Moses would start to get on each others nerves after a while....lol
    Just my 2 cents.

    My suggestion....

If you want to go out on the road with him, plan on doing more than just "riding". You can be a team operation with just one driver. Learn to do the paperwork and keep the inside of the truck in order. Those two things will go a long way. Knowing where the truckstops are, and doing alot toward planning the routes can take a ton of work off of the driver. Do as much of the job as you can, and be up there in the jump seat during times when he might be tired.

meh... I say never add another worker until you absolutely can't do it all by yourself anymore. It ALWAYS leads to a false inflated sense of self-worth when things aren't so hot anymore.
