what makes you mad when you get to the truck stop

What makes me mad. I pull a reafer and when I get to the fuel Island and the truck in front does not pull far enough forword to fill my truck and reafer. So I have to get out run my card fuel my truck wait for them to get back move forward again run my card again (because of time limit) fuel my reafer then go to fuel desk and get 4 receipts instead of 2. Just because they dont pull a reafer doesent mean nobody else does. Have courtesy pull farther forward.

That bugs me as well.

Something that really bugs me is when I get to a truck stop, there are multiple parking spaces open, yet trucks are park along side the curbs and beside the fuel island, because they are too lazy to park in a specified spot. I can understand if you are just going to be there a few minutes, but I am talking about those that are stopping for the night. They end up stopped in a spot that ends up blocking actual parking spots where several trucks could be parking.

what gets me mad is the inconsiderate driver(s) that take up 2 parking spaces.........

what gets me mad, is when i get to the restrooms, they are dirty, or broken, or out of toilet paper.

what gets me mad, is when i sit at the dinning room table, and the waitress doesn't even aknowledge my presence.

what gets me mad, is when i DO FIND a clean restroom, as i am washing my hands after "doing my business", that some inconsiderate driver(s) who just finished "doing his buisiness on the throne", walks out the restroom, doesn't wash his hands, and goes to the buffet table..........can you say...Hepatitis..........???

what gets me mad, is when i'm in the trucker's store, decide to buy something, and go to the cashier, and she is busy ringing up a fuel purchase, and can't get approval. this is usually what happens at the Pilot's.......

what gets me mad, is when i go to watch a movie or something else in a lounge they have, the chairs are usually "dented" by some big @ss'd driver, and i can't get comfortable.


come to think of it..................

i ain't been to a truck stop in over 2 years now, i'm home every day.

but when i "used" to stop at truckstops...............

those things got me mad.......................

assholes at the fuel island. they pull (sometimes) and run inside and take forever then come back to their truck an see you waiting but are in no hurry to get out of the way.

when i first started driving, my co-driver or should i say "lead driver", would pull into the fuel island, pop open the hood, then we'd go inside and shower, eat, etc. come out about 2 hours later.............

i'm glad i never learned how to be so stupid and inconsiderate..........

The drivers that do these things are just a few, but they can ruin everything. One @sshole can make several people ticked off.

Wow that is crazy and I will make sure that I will be considerate and doing what I can to make it easier for other drivers. I am a new driver so I am still learning.

Rude Cashiers
Rude fast food workers/food places
Nasty toilet seats-(some drivers can't stand up and pee lol)
No toilet paper
hair in the sink or around the sink
Just about every restroom I go into is nasty (this is bad to say but I would rather use the men's bathroom in most stops that have 1 for man and 1 for woman, the women's is ALWAYS nasty.
Snack/Coke machines that rip you off and its not like you can just get your money back cause you are through there everyday
Lot Lizards that beat on the door while you are trying to sleep
Leaving children unattended in cars
Drivers that go do their business without pulling up or they pull up and are in the truck stop taking showers, eatting buffet or just in general

OK there one other thing that makes me mad. Thats when I go to a truck stop thats noted for LOT LIZZARDS and they DON"T come to my truck. lol

No really what makes me mad at the truck stops would be drivers missing the trash cans (that are conveniently placed all over the truck stop) and throwing their trash on the ground. I do not want to see your pee bottles, come on!

what pisses me off more than anything is when i am hungry, haven't eaten since yesterday and i pull in hungry enough to eat the entire resturant and i pny up to the buffet and everything is old and nothing even goes well together.

Case in point was at a country cooking in Abeline TX, i hadn't eaten since the day before at breakfast. so i pull in since it was the nicest looking truck stop there and i hit the buffet. now the truck stop it's self was nice, everything was newer and real clean. but i hit the buffet and they had 5 diffrent things on there all made with hot dogs. and the hotdogs by themselfs was green looking. then they had some old fried buzzard of some sort and some mystery meat that looked like someone took the pan and held it to their rear after eating the buffet and put it back out for folks to eat. and yet they still had the nerve to charge 9 something for the buffet.

I ended up with a chicken fried steak that wasn't to bad but to pricey for what it was. for a chicken fry with 2 sides and glass of ice tea it came to $11.75. so note to everyone steer clear of the country cooking chain in Abeline.
