Fire destroys truck stop
An early morning fire Wednesday destroyed the 7-11 Fina Truck Stop, located about two miles east of Harrold on U.S. Hwy 287.
Firefighters from Vernon, Harrold and Electra arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the building. Firefighters from Chillicothe and Punkin Center assisted with tankers and extra manpower.
Jacob Brown, an employee at the truck stop, said a load of greasy towels had been laundered and were in the dryer. He said when he checked on them, the dryer was steamy, but when he felt of the towels, they were damp and there was no smell of smoke, so the drying process continued Fire destroys truck stop : Local : Times Record News

Seen this Saturday on my way home.
Darn, I used to stop there alot on my way to Amarillo. Not much of a truck stop, but easy in and out if your headed north on 287. For those that dont know, its hwy 287 from Ft Worth TX, up to Amarillo, Tx.
