Help Wanted

I am a company heavy haul driver in need of a escort with a cdl and one that can steer a trailer, or is willing to learn. The prospective candidate should be tolerable, willing to work and able to steer the trailer. I have been given the oppurtunity of seeking out and interviewing my own escort, as I will be the one having to deal with that person or persons. Due to new laws the escort has to have a cdl in order to legally steer the trailer. This will be for a company position and it will be based out of Houston, Tx, so the prospective candidate should live within a decent proximity of there. I am not at liberty to divulge pay and benefits,as that is not my area. We are about to go full steam ahead from the ground floor and it is an exciting oppurtunity for the right person. Anyone interested contact me please, so we can possibly set up an interview. I am not difficult, but I like what I like, and I expect professionalism. I (the driver) will be in charge at all times and I don't mind being very honest, even if the truth hurts. This is long, but anyone responding needs to know what they are getting into. Now see there... If I lived in that area, that would be something I'd do. If for no other reason(steering the back ain't fun), to work with someone not afraid to tell ya what's on his mind! Kudos. Rare, but needed, particularly doing that job.

Something similar to that, but this won't be a beam and dollie style trailer. This will be for hauling tower sections for the windmill segment of the industry. There will be company escort positions available also. Independent escorts won't get priority, obviously, but they are being considered in the event that someone would be willing to park their vehicle and get into a company vehicle. Independents will still be contracted, but a company position with benefits what is there not to like about it? I look forward to hearing from y'all, thank you for your time.

We had an offer to haul those windmill blades and bases, sorry to say I had to turn them down, I would not put that type of equipment out there for the money offered. Maybe you got lucky, but $15 per mile won't cut it for us with the current costs. That would only leave about $4.00 per mile after all expenses. Not my cup of tea.

I appreciate the feedback and the email, but I've found my escorts, there are still company positions available if. There will be a couple of other drivers putting their ads out on this thread here soon I'm told so I guess, stay tuned and thanks again...........Peace...
