bullwinkle is right. the fuel prices are not only hurting the independant, but also the companies. instead of complaining, work with them.

You really must be a rookie. How about you drive in my neck of the woods for a week, then tell me what yield means? Don't forget to let me know how many miles you cover in a day.

And your right 80% of the drivers have no business driving, out of the 20% left 15 have no business driving around here. And for the elite 5% that can drive with me kudo's. And if your scared to drive down 11th ave or up 2nd and run down a 3 ton road in Westchester/Rockland then go home. Your more of a danger then you realize. Don't feel bad I see it all the time, I escorted many drivers back out to the big road.

I'll stick to being an O/O. Both my trucks will freakin' fly if you stand on them. I don't think we should run 100 Mph. everywhere we go, But that extra OOMPH iis nice when you need it. Turning a truck down to the point of it not being able to get out of it's own way is stupid. It does nothing more than create another traffic situation that the driver can do nothing about.

OK I spoke to my lawyer's secretary the other day and her husband drove for Schneider but recently quit due to them turning the trucks down. He switched to another company.

As you know, I drive for Schneider and they are known for being some of the slowest trucks out there. Well, the slowest just got SLOWER.

Effective today, the solo drivers whose trucks have been governed at 63 mph are being turned down to 60.

I am sure this is going to cause many drivers to leave them and many other drivers to become even more irate at how slow the pumpkin trucks are.

Just thought you might want this info for your bulletins.
Yeah, my company governs most of their trucks at 65, cruise at 62. What's more, our on-board recorders monitors miles over 65 (we're "allowed" 100 miles per 4-week period),
if we exceed that number, we're deducted money from our bonus. Fun, eh? I get paid by the hour, so I guess I'll just wave to ya as you pass, lol
