Let's not forget what today is.
Take a minute and think about it.
God Bless The U.S.A.
For all our fallen Hero's
Rest In Peace.
For our Troops, Thank-you
we pray for you and come home safe.

Does anyone remember where they was on 9/11? I remember very well, where I was, having making a deliver in Hauppauge, NY that morning and working my way back west on the LIE (I495) toward Wyandanch, NY to pick up a load of chep pallets for returns. Heading West and seeing the smoke bellowing from the twins, at the time wasn't to concerned about it because, on my spare time I am a Volunteer Firefighter, and a fire is a fire. Then as I was approaching my exit, I noticed the second plane coming in, still not alarmed because Laguardia Airport was still between myself and the twins. When I pulled in to my customer for picking up, it was then when we all heard the news about what was going on, and much to my surprise I witnessed it with out even knowing what was taking place. I know how I felt that day, and I still get all choked up and teary eyed when I think about that day and what it meant to me. Our freedom was broken that day. It made me think that we, as Americans, were trapped, our freedom was no longer the same. I take the time everyday to remember 9/11, but today especially, because it is the anniversary of the tragic loss of life that change the way we do our everyday walk with life.

i was in marietta georgia next to the big chicken making a delivery. i walked into the office to get a signature and saw they were all standing around a tv and i watched the 2nd plane hit the tower and thought it was a practical joke , kind of like the orson wells mars invasion skit. after realizing it wasn't i called work and told them. i really had no feelings either way at the time. i was too numb to feel anything really.

I had just returned home the night before after 4 straight months out. We were up early for my usual special breakfast after an extremely long trip when the news broke. I was literally shocked to be seeing the images before me on a 52" screen. And when the second plane hit...it blew my mind. It took me several minutes to compose myself before tending to my missy. That was one of the few days in my life which brought tears to my eyes. May none of us ever again have to experience a day such as that one.

(moment of silence in rememberence...please)

Just a few thoughts for this day.. I've gotten a little emotional reflecting back on this day..

We remember this day
a day that started like any other,
We rememeber this day
and pray there is never another.

We watched in horror as we saw
the plane in the sky,
We watched it hit the tower,
and knew many had just died.

So many loved ones lost
so many families torn apart
We could hardly bear to watch it
it really broke our hearts.

We send our prayers today
to the families who are in pain
I don't think we'll ever grasp it
it just completly insane.

Sept. 11 will always be a day,
A country reflects
and stops for a moment to pray.....
