Nope.....Willie don't look the part, Willie don't sound the part, when is the last time you saw an independent O/O with braids and wearing a muscle shirt, singing and playing a guitar? Willie best plays the part of exactly what he is, a dope smokin country music entertainer. Not an over the road trucker.....

Hey gmventure.. Any way you can arrange for a few of us to have a small role in the movie? I have always wanted to try acting. Im 30 years old and am pretty clean cut. But I can grow my hair and beard and have a younger Dennis Burkley or Mickey Jones look if need be.

I've seen plenty long haired truckers, and plenty of them with their hair in braids. Seen all different shapes and sizes when it comes to truckers.

Sorry but I believe you miss-read my post......I stated Independent Owner Operators.....not just Truckers. There is a difference. I realize there are Drivers of all shapes and sizes and some are ex-cons, some are dopers, many are just plain assholes who can't get another job. I don't have a thing against any driver who does his job. It's his business what he wants to look like and act like, until he works for me. I am an independent O/O and have been one most of my life and have not seen very many of us in braids or with ear rings or tongue studs or alot of other ideosyncrocies.

I still believe Sam Elliot is the man for the job, and I'm stickin to it......Just keep it realistic. Don't let them "Hollywood" it up like they did all the rest of the truckin movies.

Sam Elliot Because you want it real. You have to have a man with a I don't give a sh!t attitude.
or Al Pachinno would be real good also.
Then set them down with an Old time trucker that has lived them year's He also has to be a loner with an eye on his back.
