TMZ reporting that Michael Jackson just died. Unconfirmed but he was rushed to hospital with cardiac arrest.
He was picked up at his home around 20 minutes ago -- we're told his mother is on the way to visit him.
UPDATE: The 911 call came in at 12:21PM at his Holmby Hills home in L.A.
UPDATE: A Jackson family member tells TMZ Michael is in "really bad shape" and the brothers are headed to UCLA.
UPDATE: We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well."

Pop star Michael Jackson dead: report - Yahoo! NewsLOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Pop giant Michael Jackson, who took to the stage as a child star and set the world dancing to exuberant rhythms for decades, died on Thursday, TMZ website reported. He was 50.
There was no official confirmation of the reported death and spokespersons for Jackson could not be reached for comment.
"We've just learned Michael Jackson has died," TMZ said.
"Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back," the entertainment site said.

#2 Yes, it is a shame. I remember him in the early 80's, and was actually kind of looking forward to his comeback. He swore it was his last hurrah, and that would have been cool to see.

Yes, that is why I clarified "unconfirmed" and have never used them before.
He is dead, however.
And I guess if the corporate media is any indication, the protests in Iran have stopped, North Korea is no longer making threats and all else is right with the world.
I wasn't talking to you specifically. I know you're smarter than believing TMZ right off. But it scares me how much people involve themselves with the goings on of celebrities, and buy into what they say as gospel, as well as what the entertainment shows say.
As late as 6 pm yesterday, CNN, Fox, and others were all battling over his death/coma/hospitalization.
It was pretty sad.
It's good to see world peace has broken out as a result of his passing though, and it's a sacrifice I'd make again in a heartbeat!
