some people are just a-holes Day 10 and 11

Well day 10 didn't have much happen. Went on the same route as day 9. Only thing to say about it is my shifting improved, getting more confident in myself and handling the truck. Also watching the rear tandem is being second nature now.

Day 11 started out great. Usual getting out to the yard at o'dark thirty as usual. Instructor took us on the mountain and interstate route which was interesting. This mountain road was very narrow and whindy. One of the corners had a bit of a cliff that if you didn't hug the outside of the yellow line you'd hit the cliff!! Then some downhill control stuff with downshifting a bit then out on a interstate. Did really well on all of it, few hickups on my downshifting but its getting better.
After lunch someone had uncoupled the glad hands and pulled the release lever on the 5th wheel on one of the trailers. Instuctor flipped out and grounded the whole class for the day til someone came forward and claimed responsibility for screwing around like that. Course no one did which looked bad on the rest of us that are working our asses off to learn and put everything on the line for this. I couldn't believe someone would mess around like that to jeopardies others livelyhood... ridiculous. I was disgusted. The yard dog said tomorrow well go on as if nothing happened but I hope this doesn't hinder me doing my road test on my last day. Its all I have left to pass and I'm good to go...

hello everone! This is my first post. I start school in September at Northeast Tech in Scarbourgh, Maine. I can't wait!!!!!!!! Talk about a-holes. Iwalked out my apt. Friday morning to 10 plumes of smoke all around me. It seems some deranged person set 9 cars on fire and in the process of setting his 10th auto on fire some investagating officers caught him, moron. What was really scary he almost wipe out a family and thier small childern when thier home caught fire. I hope he goes away forever! We don't need people like this roaming our streets!

Things happen like the uncoupling of the Glad Hands and Pulling the 5th Wheel Pin.
Big deal and I'm sure it was done to see if the Newbie was ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION.
I would have done the same thing or put a Quarter between the Glad Hands on the Service Line or not even pulled the Pin but just switched the Air Lines.
Most Drivers don't notice such actions.
Works on Veteran Drivers as well.
The "Instructor" getting all bent outta shape and screwing EVERYONE sounds a wee bit unstable.
Were I an Instructor, I would have viewed it as a LEARNING EXPERIENCE for the Students because weird stuff happens in ALL Industries.
